Social Cognitive Theory, used in psychology, education, and communication, posits that portions of an individual's knowledge acquisition can be directly related to observing others within the context of social interactions, experiences, and outside media influences. Today "social learning" is also a term coined by companies like NoteLog that create a online social learning enviroment for everyone to learn through collaboration. There are a handful of growing Social Learning Companies, it is an interesting take on leveraging the power of social networks.
